A huge congratulations to team Killian for receiving Diamond Level status for the 2021 Safety Training Evaluation Process (“STEP”) through ABC! If you are unfamiliar with the STEP process, here’s some quick info:
- STEP is a world-class safety management system that dramatically improves safety performance among participants.
- The goal is to implement or enhance safety programs that reduce jobsite incidents.
- Participating companies score their level of achievement for 25 key components on a weighed point scale and document their incident rates (TRIR).
- Recognition is given on a level ranging from Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, all the way up to Diamond (top level).
As a DIAMOND STEP member, Killian is now eligible to apply for ABC’s National Safety Excellence Award, the National Excellence in Construction Awards and Accredited Quality Contractor credential, and one step closer to qualifying for ABC’s Top Performers Lists
